“I’d like to introduce our next GM, Todd Snider”
GM Snider addresses the reporters in attendance.
I’d like to thank all of you for coming today and taking time out of your busy schedules. Let me say I’m very excited to be the new GM of the Kings. The team has gone through a rough patch lately. I have been attendance for last 3 games and noticed I haven’t seen a couple of the familiar faces cheering on the team. I called an old friend and asked Will ( Ferrell) where has he been , his seat has been empty.
Will said “Listen, the team just hasn’t been performing, there seems to be no identity to the team. Listen I love watching Stamkos, Johnny Hockey and that Werenski kid but the rest of team lacks pizzazz. Hey Todd if they are offering the job take it. Change the culture and attitude back to glory days of Gretz, I’ll be back.
I told him we had a deal; I was taking the job. I expect him to be at next game.
Will added one more thing “You got to call Alyssa Milano, shes a super Kings fan and hasn’t been coming lately either. Listen Todd when shes there in that tight little Kings T, frankly I don’t care what the score is most nights!!
Alyssa Milano will be my next call!!
So you all might ask besides bringing the stars and rest of the fans back to the arena what is my plan? Really its simple, we have some very good pieces to build around. My goal is to move some guys out that I feel are not in our long-term plans and rebuild a fast young club. We need a deeper prospect pool to compete for many years and whether that through trades or drafts will be determined as we proceed on. I’m going to take a couple weeks, meet with the players and evaluate each one. Both Pro and Farm teams, from there will see who will be part of this great organization going forward.
