On Thursday evening heading into the EHE Trade Deadline the Calgary Flames, GM Stephen, and the Washington Capitals, GM Travis, finally closed out discussions on a deal. A deal that has been in the works all season.

Going to Washington are forwards Tanner Jeannot, Jayden Grubbe and 300k.

Coming to Calgary are forwards Jordan Greenway and Daniel Torgersson.

Upon first thoughts why 300k and Torgersson. GM Stephen had this to say “Torgersson is a lotto ticket and our goal is to get him health to play and go from there. If he does decide to go overseas as rumored, we’ll retain his rights and when he’s ready, we will welcome him back with open arms.”

“Coming back to Calgary is also Jordan Greenway. Even though Greeneway is a UFA at seasons end we felt we needed an upgrade on the defensive side of our forwards and he provides that. With his size, checking, and defensive abilities our line up should be harder to play against.

“As for the 300k, its our contribution to protecting our boarders, parks, and most importantly Winnie the Pooh from some rambling dweeb that’s rumored to be coming for the upcoming G7 Summit taking place in our own backyard. Sorry but we aren’t for sale and contrary to beliefs Winnie the Pooh does not like to share his honey. He is more likely to eat you.”
