Hobey Baker Award

The Red Wings are proud to have their very own Isaac Howard win the Hobey Baker as college's top hockey player while represting Michigan State and leading them to win the Big Ten regular-season and conference tournament titles. The Red Wings selected him with the 25th overall pick in the 2022 EHE Draft. 

Howard lead the nation in averaging 1.41 points per game while finishing 5th in scoring with 52 points (26 goals, 26 assists) in 37 games. He's the first Michigan State player to win this award since goaltender Ryan Miller won it back in 2001. Howard beat out 2 amazing prospects in Ryan Leonard and Zeev Buium. 

The Red Wings are beyond excited to be adding another top prosepct to this team in the near future.
