Wranglers Take Down Top-Seed Moose
2024-07-04While the Calgary Flames fight for their playoff lives, tonight, the Calgary Wranglers did what many thought was impossible and overcame a huge challenge by sweeping the Western Conference leaders the Manitoba Moose. The Moose also had the second-best record in the AHL with 46 wins and 98 points.
The series was tight with the Wranglers only allowing 2 goals in the entire series, and the star of the series for the Wranglers was Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen who posted a goal against of a 0.65 and a save percentage of .986 with 1 shut out.
In order for the Wranglers to continue being successful they will need to continue getting stellar goaltending while maintaining a strong defensive game, and coach Luke Richardson has reminded everyone to stay away from the Calgary Stampede shenanigans.
We would like to thank GM Joe and his Manitoba Moose for a great series.
