Flames Take Game 1
2024-06-28After the Calgary Flames took game 1 of the series opener against the Seattle Kraken, GM Stephen had this to say,
"Where is the nearest Home Depot? I need to buy a bug zapper so we can stay healthy and injury-free."
This past season the Calgary Flames have seen Patrik Laine, Boone Jenner, Jake Sanderson, and a few AHL guys go down for stretches at a time due to injury.
Now Taylor Hall has joined that list and had to leave in the 3rd period of game one due to a right knee injury. He is expected to be out for a minimum of 10 days.
While Boone Jenner is out for at least another 21 days with a torn left meniscus. Mason MacTavish will be given the opportunity to play more minutes and a bigger role as he moves up to the left-wing position on the 3rd line for game 2.
With the team graphics team off fighting a bug, GM Stephen would like to give a huge shout-out to the Vegas Golden Knights team for allowing GM Doug Waite to help out with his exceptional skills and providing the current graphics for this article.
Next stop before Game 2 is Home Depot.
