EHE News: Jenner done for the season

2024-05-25

Early this morning the Calgary Flames received devastating news that Boone Jenner will end the season on the LTIR. At 6:19 of the third period against the Ottawa Senators last night, Jenner took a hit from Jeremy Lauzon.

After tests came back, Jenner suffered a torn left meniscus. As a result of the injury, and with about 2 weeks to the trade line, the Flames are left with some decisions to make.

Currently the Flames sit forth in the Pacific Division with 57 points. Only 3 points out of second place in the Pacific.

In the short-term Mason McTavish will get another shot at center on the second line. Over the next couple of weeks, the team will look at all options from being sellers, buyers, or staying status quo. If the right deal comes along for a replacement center. The Flames will take a look at it.

For now its one day at a time.
