EHE News Breaker: Flames make another trade

Late last night GM Stephen made another move to bolster the roster. Coming to Calgary from Pittsburgh is 6ft 6 forward Nick Bjugstad. Going to Pittsburgh is a 2025 4th round pick and 500k in cash.

So why this trade?

GM Stephen had this to say “after moving Zach Parise earlier this month, I felt the team needed to add another forward in the bottom 6. Not only does Nick bring mammoth size, but he also brings a good defensive game to compliment his scoring. His ability to play center and the wing is a bonus and will give the coaching staff options when it comes to lines.”

“Getting Bjugstad now allows him to get to know the team, while also telling the guys we believe in you.”

Known to keep his picks GM Stephen sends another pick out the door in an effort to get the team to the next level while also keeping the AHL Wranglers from losing their depth to the big team, so they can also have every opportunity to push for a playoff spot.
