Media Relations Department Fired
2022-12-20Today, The Calgary Flames quickly let go of the entire media relations department. Taking over in the short term will be our very own Harvey the Hound. Hound has been instrumental in various roles throughout the organization and we have the utmost confidence he’ll get things back on track very soon.
GM Stephen shared that the department is undergoing some restructuring as they had failed to keep our fans informed of what has been happening.
Last year we lead the way in fan interaction and connection with the New York Islanders. Great job GM Kyle.
This past off-season, the media relations department seemed to take an extended holiday and failed to release any articles about their draft, trades, and signings. Leading to uncertainty on what’s been going on with the team.
During the 2021/22 season, we released 12 articles. Something we were very proud of and have high expectations to grow on that number this season in an effort to continue connecting with the EHE community and the Calgary Flames fans. As a result of those 12 articles, the organization received a nice bonus from the League and that bonus helped the organization during free agency.
When reached for comment Harvey didn’t have much to say as he is focused on getting things in order for the upcoming season. He did elude that some of the things the EHE can look forward to are a Draft review, off-season moves, training camp, and player bios to name a few.
In closing the Calgary Flames would like to give a shout-out to the commissioner of the EHE for all his hard work this past off-season.
Alright, Harvey now get to work.

Damn, it’s gotta hurt to get replaced by a giant dog that can’t even talk. Looking forward to seeing what the new media staff comes up with though!
