Epic Race for 300

2022-04-29

The true race for 300 is on!

NY Rangers winger Patrick Kane and Vegas Golden Knights winger Brad Marchand are both tied at 297 career EHE goals.  Which one of these gifted wingers will be the first to reach the 300 career goal milestone?  The league is on edge with excitement as a milestone is about to be reached for the first time despite the hyped up 2021 article from the Golden Knights GM last year.  Going into Friday evening the schedule through the weekend is as follows:

April 29th:
Rangers vs Buffalo
Knights vs Philadelphia

May 1st:
Rangers vs Colorado
Knights vs Dallas

May 2nd:
Rangers vs Chicago

May 4th:
Knights vs Calgary

Brad Marchand has 4 goals in his past 3 games, while Patrick Kane has 3 goals within his past 4 games, two of which came in a Rangers 7-1 thrashing of the Golden Knights.  Unfortunitly due to the ongoing legal proceedings between FanDuel, EHE Leadership, and the EHE Discord chat, current leagle betting odds are not available.  Unofficially, according to sources the North Dakota sports book is a fire with who will reach this epic EHE milestone first.

A number of players this year are poised to hit the 300 goal milestone.  Alex Ovechkin has hit a goal slump this season after signing a massive deal to pair with Marchand in Vegas.  The "Great 8" sits at 283.  Los Angeles Kings forwards Nikita Kucherov and Steven Stamkos also sit at 279.  Joining the 279 club is Florida Panthers forward Jamie Benn.  The number one overall pick in EHE history, Nashville Predator, Sidney Crosby settles in at 278.

While all of these forwards have played in over 500 EHE games, Buffalo Sabres center Auston Matthews has played in only 394 games and has scored an impressive 222 goals for a .57 goal average and is only 24 years old.  Matthews is on pace for yet another 50+ goal season, and it will be interesting to see if he can surpase his EHE record 57 goals from last year this season.
