Flames Sizzle Out

Tonight the series against the St. Louis Blues ended like it started, a loss in overtime.

The Blues stormed out to a 3-0 series lead, however the Flames came back with 2 straight wins, however the inconsistent scoring caught up and the Flames were unable to leave St. Louis with the win and take the series back to Calgary for a Game 7.

GM Stephen reached out to GM Shaun and congratulated him on the series win, and wished him the best going into the Conference Finals.

Since the Flames returned to the playoffs 3 years ago the team that has eliminated the Calgary Flames in the Western Conference has gone onto the represent the Western Conference in the Cup Finals. So our prediction will be for the Blues to represent the West.

As the players head back to Calgary in preparation to go their separate ways, GM Stephen will be looking forward to the draft as well as what changes need to be made to the roster. One has to think that Patrik Laine is at the top of the list to be moved after his recent playoff performance where he only put up 3 points in 12 games.
