Flames clinch 2nd in the Pacific Division
2025-06-04With a 3-1 win over the Winnipeg Jets recently the Calgary Flames clinched a spot in the post season.
Now they wait to see who their opponent will be. Currently the San Jose Sharks and Seattle Kraken are battling it out for the last playoff position. Currently the Sharks have a 2 point lead on the Kraken however the Kraken have a game in hand.
With two games remaining for the Flames and the team on an 8 game winning streak and only 3 points from breaking the 100 point mark, the Flames have been giving players a rest and others bigger opportunities to see how they do.
Mason McTavish has been elevated to #1 center, while both Elvis Merzlikins and UPL have so far split the goaltending duties over the past fee games.
Regardless if the Flames break a 100 points for the first time or who they face, once thing is certain the Red Mile will be hot spot to be this post season.
