Forever Johnny Hockey
2024-08-30
Today, the Predators and Elite Hockey Experience have learned of the sudden and tragic passing of beloved superstar Johnathan Gaudreau, and his brother Matthew Gaudreau.
It is extremely hard to fathom the thought of our Predators organization, and the hockey community to move forward without our beloved Johnny Hockey. We were extremely thrilled to build the next chapter of our hockey team around Johnathan as he exemplified all of the values, character, and devotion to the game that we wanted to set an example for our team in the coming years. Instead, we will carry on his legacy in memory.
Throughout all of their success in the hockey world, both continued to give back to their communities. Johnny and Matthew, as well as the entire Gaudreau family have made a sizeable difference in the lives of so many in learning and growing the sport of hockey. The impact he had on our organization and our sport was profound, but pales in comparison to the indelible impression he made on everyone who knew him.
Our deepest sympathies go out to Johnny's wife, Meredith, their children, Noa and Johnny, Matthew's wife Madeline, and the entire Gaudreau family during this unimaginably difficult time. He will forever be missed.
Eric Wolf, Nashville Predators.
