The Stars and Predators are among the most heated rivals in the EHE. They have met in the playoffs for 5 straight years, adding the the fire amongst teams. In recent years the Preds traded for longtime Stars goalie Carey Price for his swan song in the EHE. They also had acquired recewnt Stars captain, Cam Atkinson.(Whom the Stars recently re-acquired.
But this takes the cake. On Tuesday, June 4th, the Stars and Predators agreed upon a trade that swaps captains. Dallas recieves lifelong Pred, Sidney Crosby, while the Preds acquire longtime Star, Roman Josi.
This is a trade that is sure to cause waves among the league, but also inside both dressing rooms. We will see if it pans out for either team, or is it too big of a trade in the middle of the season.
