The Avs hold the 3rd overall pick in the draft...

Michaud confused

The Colorado Avalanche organisation has been very quiet since the league decided to restart from scratch. In fact, the new general manager, Marc-Antoine Michaud, hasn't made his first appearance in public yet. Rumors say he's in his room, trying to decide who the 58th player on his draft list is. A few insiders said he'd been scratching his head for so long that he's now balding.

The truth is, it's never easy to prepare lists for a 50 rounds draft. Depending on the others' picks, depending on which position is running out of elite players, depending on your ranking and on the players you already picked, your list may or may not be useful.

Words taken from Michaud's facebook page:

''It's the 4th time I try to make a list of all players... I can't.''

''I'll just keep my rankings by position...''

And so, Michaud apparently gave up on making a big list of the players he wants on his roster. The only thing he can really prepare for at this point, is his first round selection. Today's lottery gave the Colorado Avalanche the third overall pick in the draft. Michaud's facebook page gave us some information on his mindset.

''Damnit. 3rd overall? I hate this spot.''

''We'll definetly pick a center at this spot. We believe all 5 or 6 best players to build around are centers in this league.''

''A young guy would be best. Luckily, at 3, I have many choices. Too many choices.''

Michaud probably started to scratch his head again, not knowing what to do.

The Avs GM scheduled a presser on December 7th, as it seems the draft will likely begin that day.
