Griffins 19/20

Entering their 6^th season the Griffins have enjoyed a winning season in 4 out of those 5. The only time they didn’t was in their first season in the EHE. The Griffins have put together a 170-116-19 in that span but can’t manage to find success when it matters most. The Wings have only made it past the 1^st round once and hope that in the coming season's things may change.

Forward Unit

The Wings lost their all-time scoring leader in Reid Boucher to waivers but are hoping their new youngsters can pick up the slack. Newcomers like Sam Steel, Max Comtois, and Kristian Vesalainen are hoping to make a name for themselves and get promoted to the big club soon. They did bring in the likes of Carter Camper to bring some leadership and resigned Nick Lappin who chipped in 46 points last season.

Defensive Unit

This unit welcomes back Bowey, Russo, Honka, and Fleury who have put in some great seasons recently with the Griffins and well help bring along the 3 youngsters in Brannstrom, Bean and Liljegren which should help ease their road to the Wings in the coming seasons. Brannstrom and Bean should be given plenty of time on the PP unit to showcase their offensive side which their parent club is lacking at the moment.

Goalie Tandem

Jared Coreau was brought in to bring some stability in-between the pipes as their starter Sparks for the past 2 seasons was promoted to the Wings. Sparks will be missed as he put up a solid 88-41-15 record with 9 shutouts. Coreau should be able to pick up the slack as long as the Griffins team can provide the goals. Coreau is coming off a 21-13-3 record with 3 shutouts. Parsons should gain some experience playing from time to time and watching Coreau.

Outlook

The Griffins have a solid team entering this season with a good mix of vets and youngsters that should hopefully get them back to the playoffs.
