Blues Ready to Rock and Roll

2019-12-09

Going into the 2019-2020 season the St. Louis Blues roster is not going to catch anyone's eye.  There are no superstars, no MVP candidates, No Rocket Richard winners, just a collective group of hard working young men determined to work for the chance to keep playing hockey once the regular season is completed.  At the NHL level it appears as though the Blues will have to outwork teams and will need the King and Hart to keep them in games.  They will most certainly not be out scoring too many opponents, but there top 6 D men will be able to shut teams top lines down.

The Blues AHL affliate has moved a lot closer to St. Louis and will now be located in St. Charles just a 30 minute drive West of St. Louis.  That is where most of the excitement will be this year, the Chill look to continue what they built in Chicago and should remain a top contender to compete and win a Calder Cup.  Although it appears for the time being they will be losing there former captain in Patrick Brown to New Jersey through a waiver claim as well as there backup goalie in Scott Wedgewood.  Look for Stephens to keep his eye on the waiver wire to see if he will be able to fill a hole or even obtain those players back in the fold.  It will be a good thing having them closer this season as on off days they will be able to practice with the Blues, and they will also be given free reign of the Blues workout facilities.
