Depth move at the deadline

2015-05-13

It was quiet leading up to the trade deadline for the Canucks who currently sit 2nd in the Pacific divison.  In the Canucks only move leading up to their playoff push the team moved LW Thomas Fleischmann for RW Martin Erat.  With a number of LW on their roster the trade was more about depth at the RW position than trying to shake things up.

When asked if any other deals were close heading into the deadline Quinn replied, "No nothing serious, you always talk at the deadline but it doesn't always work out.  But we addressed a need at RW and I think both teams paid a fair price."

Currently in a playoff postition, it doesn't seem Quinn was too interested in making a lot of moves.  But with the team struggling going 3-6-1 in their last 10, Canaucks fans hope its only a matter of time before the team turns it around and starts playing like they were in the early part of the season.
