Kings Looking To Shake Things Up? 2018-01-22 It hasn’t even been one full month since Brandyn Errickson took over the reins for the Los Angeles Kings of the EHE, but we are getting reports that he’s looking to shake things up already. The team initially seemed to respond well to the new GM, winning their first three games after the announcement. But they now have lost six of their last seven games, including four straight, while being outscored an awful 19-3 over those games. While the new GM originally said he wouldn’t be looking to make any drastic moves, the teams recent performance and his desire to make a mark on his team seem to be too overwhelming. “He’s not happy with the team’s performance as of late and doesn’t see an outcome where the team turns it around with the current roster.” Said one insider. The same person mentioned hearing that among the team, almost no one is safe including their current captain, Steven Stamkos. We’ve heard Jakub Voracek’s name mentioned multiple times, in addition to Ryan Johansen, Nick Leddy, Jeff Petry, Andy Greene as well as the King, Henrik Lundqvist, but it’s believed that just about anyone could be in play. “While no one in the organization is mentioning the words ‘fire sale’ it’s believed that the new head figure is looking to reshape his team and set them up for long term success. I’m not sure anyone is completely off limits but I’m hearing Gaudreau, Forsberg, Werenski and McAvoy have been left out of all talks so far.” Said someone with knowledge of the situation. It’s believed Errickson would be looking for young, up and coming players, prospects and draft picks in any trade made. “He’s not going to make a trade to just make a trade, it seems he has a plan in his head and is trying to get that plan into motion as best he can. We also know he’s gotten pretty far along in trade talks with a few of his fellow GM’s, but nothing is imminent at this moment.” Said the insider. When asked, GM Errickson skirted the issue a bit, “I like our team currently. I wish they were playing a bit better on the ice which would probably lead to more wins, but there are no immediate trades in our future.” Are we seeing the last few games of some of LA’s favorite stars in Kings jersey’s?
