Flames future

2018-01-07

As reported by Calgary sports radio station The Fan.

With the Flames floundering in the basement and the season all but written off, attention has turned to the lottery draft. In a recent Mock Draft the Waite Scouting Service has the Calgary Flames picking Rasmus Dahlin at #1. Rumor has it the Flames management and scouts will be meeting in the near future to discuss various options in preparation of the draft in the summer of 2018 but drafting Dahlin would be huge boost to the future of the Flames depth on the back end moving forward which would add to an already quality young defence. That being said if the Flames do not win the lottery draft and fall within the top 5 any of the young kids would fit in nicely.  Based on the current depth of the Flames prospects the franchise appears to have a bright future ahead.
