There's a new boss in town
2017-10-18Earlier this month Florida Panthers has announced that Aleksejs N. will take over the team and become Panthers new General Manager. It has been quite some time since that castling, but today Aleksejs has finally spoken to the media.
"First at all, I would like to thank Florida's board of directors for given trust and support and I am extremely proud of taking over such an ambitious project like Florida Panthers. I can assure that all members of the Florida Panthers organization are working hard together to bring playoffs back in town."
During whole month Florida's GM has been working hard to make sure the team will be contender in the upcoming season. All the key RFA's has been resigned to new long-term deals including 4-year deals for Mikael Granlund and Braden Holtby.
The Panthers has also announced that team has signed two-year deal with a goaltender Niklas Svedberg. Sollentuna, SWE native has signed two-year one-way deal worth $3,2M.
Kevin Boyle has been signed to four-year two-way contract worth $5,8M. "We expect Kevin to make next step in his career and make significant impact for ou affiliate in Portland. Hopefully, he will be ready to take over starter's job."
And last but not least. There have been a lot of different rumours around in Florida recently and one of the insiders close to Florida organization has told us that there might be some significant moves coming in the very near future. What will it be? Another forward or maybe top class Dman?
