Red Wings in the Top 100

     The Detroit Red Wings have been able to stock pile some great prospects over the last few seasons and with some recent trades and this past draft they were able to bring in even more young talent. Let's take a look at the Red Wings top prospects according to the "Next Wave" top 100 prospects and where their very own young Wings were ranked.

   Out of the 100 prospects the Red Wings have 10 currently in their system. They also have some top prosepcts that either just graduated like ( Christian Dvorak and Troy Stecher) or just missed the cut but could make the jump soon enough like ( Lias Andersson, Haydn Fleury, Riley Tufte, Jonathan Dahlen and Kristian Vesalainen).

  The Red Wings had (3) 1st rounders this year which could help them down the road. They got a very gifted offensive defender in Brannstrom and added 2 good pieces at the forward postion in Andersson and Vesalainen.

This group joins youngsters such as Draisaitl, Trocheck, Drouin, Kucherov, and Hellebuyck all under the age of 24 that have came up the Wings system and I guess you can throw in their oldie captain Tarasenko at the age of 26.
