McJesus Has Died for your Sins 2016-12-06 The Predators see themselves with a very mediocre 11-9-0 record at the 20 game mark of the season. Nashville has found itself as a consistenly average team, almost trading every loss for a win as the season has gone along so far. The bigger highlights of the quarter mark of the season for the Predators so far has been a trade that was made between Nashville and the New Jersey Devils. GM Wolf and GM Muchowksi of the Devils seem to have a solid trading partnership. The deal saw the Predators deal forward Brayden Schenn for right winger Kyle Okposo. The deal sees Schenn being dealt twice now out of the Nashville organization as he was previously re-acquired in a deal with the Penguins in the past. This time it seems as though Schenn has seen his last days as a Predator. "We love Schenn, he's a great kid" Wolf said, "We feel like he will have a better chance to succeed in the Devils organization. As for us, it was about acquiring a top line winger, like Okposo, who could play on the right side. That was very important to us and the biggest factor in why we went after Okposo. I want to be able to supply our head coach Mike Sullivan with as many options as possible, and we feel with acquiring a RW, a position we were short and weak on, it makes Sullivans job a lot easier, and it balances our team out up front." Wolf said. The other highlight to the Predators season... if you can call it a highlight... is the death of Connor McJesus. On December 5th, Connor McJesus sacrificed himself on the ice to die for all of the EHE GMs sins. Particularly Harald's sins (he has a lot). The injury was sustained against a game against the Minnesota Wild, the Predators arch nemesis. Connor McDavid was nailed to the boards and died. "This is a very huge blow to our season" Wolf said "We don't know how we're going to move forward or if or how we're going to fill McJesus's spot in the line-up. We might have to go a trade route which I am not particularly fond of, we might just try to stand pat and wait for McJesus's ressurection. Or ultimately, we may be forced to promote Colin McDonald aka Colin McDisciple. We just don't know yet."
