Top 10 Red Wings Prospects

Top 10 In No Particular Order

Julius Honka - A 3 season AHL vet at only 20 years old, Honka posted 31 points his rookie year and followed it up with 44 points last year. With 12 points in 16 games this year he was called up to the big boys and posted a point in his first game. Considered the best d-man prospect in the Stars system and possibly as well in the Wings, he should play an important part for both teams in the near future.

Christian Dvorak - After dominating in the OHL and posting 230 points in his last 2 seasons, he has posted 5 points in his first 13 games with the Yotes in a limited role so far. Should be a matter of time before they give him more ice time because everyone knows the offense is there for him to light it up.

Jesse Puljujarvi - Clearly being above others in the world juniors he started off slowly his rookie year with Edmonton but has picked it up lately. His numbers should go up now that he is playing on the ride side of McDavid and his 6 points in 15 games should only go up from here.

Ryan Dzingel - Getting a taste of the NHL last year, he has been one of the bright things in Ottawa this season. Posting 5 goals 5 assists for 10 points in 18 games. Should give Detroit another offensive weapon next season.

Tyler Parsons - Posting a 37-9-3 last year was amazing and this season he's off to a 6-1-1 record. Could he finally be the goalie the Flames have been looking for? He's for sure doing the right things to get there and could give the Wings a great future goalie whether it's a starting goalie or a great back up

Jonathan Dahlen - If this kid is anything like this father then the Wings will be excited to have drafted him. Off to a nice start with 15 points in 20 games for Timra of the Swe-1 league. He's on pace to surpass his numbers of last year.

Troy Stecher - Great player at the Univ of North Dakota, has gotten a taste of the NHL this year after being called up. 3 points in 10 games are a positive thing but he needs to work on his own zone as he currently sits with a -6. Could turn out to be a good 3-6 dman on the Wings.

Jake Bean - The Wings 1st rounder this past draft can really put up big numbers. Posting 24 goals, 40 helpers for 64 points in 68 games is what you call a offensive weapon from the point. If he turns out to be the real deal is what Detroit could use on the PP after Krug and Vatanen.

Robbie Russo - After having a surprising nice 1st season with the Griffins posting 40 points and leading the AHL in plus minus with a +40, the Wings are trying to see if that was a fluke. So far he is proving that he could be the real deal with 8 points in 14 games. Detroit needs a huge change on defense in the coming seasons and Russo could be one of the guys that benefit from that.
