The 10 Game Mark

As the 10 game mark hits we find the Red Wings at 6-4 and doing better then expected. No surprise here as tied for the leading scorer are the 2 Russians Tarasenko and Kucherov both with 9 points and closely behind them is Tatar with 8 points.

Their leading goal scorer is none of those guys listed but Brock Nelson with 5 after starting the season as the 3rd line center he's slowly moved up and has been on the 2nd line as of late.

Some key guys helping out so far have been FA acquistion Blake Comeau with 5 points and not to mention the rookie players holding their ground on the back end like Marchenko and Jokipakka.

They are hoping for a little more out of Drouin but they cant complain with the strong 2 way game he has been playing so far on that 3rd line with Comeau and either Nelson or Draisitl centering. He's tied with Comeau for the team lead with a +5, he's chipped in 2 goals but are hoping he explodes soon and gets on the board more frequent.

Mrazek has been holding down the goaltending position and playing all 10 games so far as Cam Ward was suppose to get at least 2 games in during the 10 game stretch but came down with a very bad cold and wasn't 100% to go on those 2 games. He's feeling a lot better and should be getting some games in soon to give Mrazek a break or two.

Time will tell if this team is for reals or just off to a lucky start...
