Tampa Bay undefeated to start the year!!

Finally, The Lightning have given their fans something to be proud of, being a perfect 1-0 on the year.

Tampa Bays forwards came out swinging, beating The Buffalo Sabres 6-3 in the first game of the year for both teams.  Tampa Bay was lead by Filip Forsberg who scored a natural hat-trick while adding another 2 assists to bring his point total to 5 on the year.  Not to far behind him was the little man, Brendan Gallagher who finished the night with 1 goal and 2 assists.  Centering the line was Kadri who had 2 points himself, bringing the line total to 5 goals, 5 assists for a total of 10 points along with a +/- rating of +11.

"I'm not sure we have ever had a start to a season where our top line was so dominant in both ends of the rink.  Great for our fans, great for management who put the pieces in place for this to happen".  

Hopefully this is a sign of things to come for this franchise who has not made the playoffs yet in the history of the EHE.
