Blues looking at some FA's

Right now in St.Louis there is not to much on the go, and staff seem to be tight lipped about anything going on.  Luckily when we talked to their GM he opened up a little bit about what kind of plan he has moving forward in this offseason.

" Right now our deals are pretty much done up to this point, looking to acquire a goalie who can eat up some minutes down in Chicago and keep them competitive.  A few talks in the books about acquiring the rights to a few RFA's but nothing substansial as of yet.  Also listening to offers on Daley but as of right now nothing has come across the board that has made me jump on anything, I don't mind keeping him to play on our second pairing.  I think we are in a win now mode but are not really willing to sacrifice to much of our future to bring in anything crazy as of yet.  We will have to see how this team gels in the first month or so before we can really truly evaluate where we want to go from there.  As far as the draft goes we plan on keeping all of our picks especially if our guys that we are targeting are still on the board, we think this will be the case as I feel this years top 60 is fairly deep and we can get some solid talent with our first 4 picks within the top 60. "

" I feel we are very deep on the back end, I will be evaluating some D men that are on the FA market right now but as well as some wingers but I don't see us making to many crazy offers to some of the big fish out there.  We have the cap room to do so we just don't want to get our hands tied with some big contracts we will regret later.  I am comfortable in starting with a few rookies in Petan and Wilson on the opening day roster if prices are to high for reasonable guys out there to fill their void.   Jan Kostalek as of right now will be the only player looking to make the jump into Chicago, I will look to fill some of the holes their with some RFA's that do not get quallified "
