Heading Into The Entry Draft 2016-06-30 The Philadelphia Flyers will enter the off-season with 4 things they must do. One of those things will be to draft well at the upcoming 2016 EHE Entry Draft where the Flyers have several picks at their disposal. The second, third and fourth things would be to re-sign some of the key RFAs they have. Those guys would be top goaltender prospect Matt Murray, center Nick Cousins and center Radek Faksa. These 3 guys are expected to be some of the key pieces for this franchise going forward. The Flyers hope that Matt Murray will become the teams #1 goalie in the future. Next season the Flyers roster is going to have a lot of youth throughout as it is expected that Valeri Nichushkin, Brett Connolly, Darnell Nurse and Nick Cousins will all be making the jump to the big club. Other candidates to make the pro roster could be Radek Faksa, and goaltender Matt Murray. Their farm team the Lehigh Valley Phantoms will be taking a big hit as it will be losing all those guys who played key roles for their club last year in what was a very successful regular season for the Phantoms. The organizations scouting staff is hard at work as it continues to prepare for the upcoming EHE entry draft. Management also continues to prep as rumors have it that the team would like to try and land a young Dman, and they are considering moving left winger Mikkel Boedker to acquire such a piece. Rumors also have Dman Jason Demers is being shopped around. It has been reported that GM Wes Mucyk has been receiving a number of phone calls regarding Captain Gabriel Landeskog and RWer Valeri Nichushkin. Early this morning during an interview with the Flyers GM it was made quite clear that neither Landeskog nor Nichushkin will be going anywhere as the organization has both of these guys as part of their long term plans.
