Rangers make the deadline interesting

Rangers were sitting at the last possible playoff spot and the GM went to work. Just days before Rangers accquire star center Steven Stamkos who already has 5 goals in 2 games. "A deal we couldn't pass up, we were looking for that no.1 C for some time".

Now onto the deadline day.

11:25 AM.

Rangers have acquired Brooks Laich.

Trade saw Rangers ship out 2016 4th round pick for the veteran who will be UFA at the end of the season. We were looking for a defensive type of player with good leadership and that's what Brooks brings.  Rumored to be playing on the 4th line and the PK.

12:10 PM.

Rangers have traded Dan Boyle to Washington.

Rangers held good talks with Washingtons front office day before about Boyle and decided to wait till the deadline. Mr Mitchell came back with an offer that we liked and we accepted it. Boyle was set to become UFA. He played over 21 mins a night, gathering 10 goals and 24 points.

12:14 PM.

Rangers have acquired Andrew Ference in exchange for Jacob Markstrom.

Rangers were looking for someone more defensive than Dan Boyle and Anaheim Ducks GM Mr Smith came with a strong offer for our AHL goalie and good prospect Ryan Gropp. Ference has 3 years left on his deal.

12:35 PM

Rangers have dealt the Lotto pick.

With the biggest deal of the night Rangers dealt Anaheim's 1st round pick in 2016. Rangers set the price and Mr Prach was very set on acquiring this pick. With some good back and forth the deal was made. Price was set from the get go and was up to Mr Prach to make the call.

Rangers have acquired Oscar Lindberg.

Rangers fan accquring a real life Ranger? Lindberg is proving he can score at every level. Future is bright for the young swede.

Rangers have acquired Jimmy Hayes

Rangers had contacted Mr Stephens a couple of times about Jimmy but nothing never came to fruition. A good middle six forward with size and is thrilled to play with his brother. RFA at the end of the season.

Ranegrs have acquired Antoine Vermette.

Rangers were looking at Vermette from the start of the season. Always liked his game. Shame he is an UFA but his faceoff and defensive ability alone should bring more stability to now pretty solid group.
