Sharks deal before deadline

2016-03-13

In the last days of leading up to the trade deadline, San Jose Sharks General Manager made 2 incredible trades to shore up the Sharks lackluster offense for the post-season.

The first conaining winger Patrick Sharp from the Winnipeg Jets and the second center Mikko Koivu (which surprisingly was on Mikko's 33rd birthday).

"I'm surprised I got traded" Koivu said in a phone interview, "but I wasn't getting as much ice time as I'd like to have in Dallas so this will be better I think."

With GM Dereszynski being critisized as of late for his first trade sending Patrick Marleau and brilliant up and coming D Marc-Edouard Vlasic some where questioning whether Dereszynski was the right man for the job. However, this latest move could set the ship straight.

In honor of Mikko's being traded on his birthday, we here at the Sharks organization would like to wish Mikko a happy birthday and welcome to the Sharks!!
