EHE All-Star game - Team Fletcher 2016-01-23 The EHE head officials have named GM Jameson Fletcher of the Ottawa Senators and GM Bob McGugan the two Team Builders for EHE's first All-Star game. Both GMs are tied for 1st place in the league overall standings at the break. They have both built serious contenders for this year's Cup. This is McGugan's first year, and he heads the defending EHE's Stanley Cup Champion. Instead of just staying complacent, McGugan has made some big deals to really try and round out his squad. Barret Jackman, Michael Stone and Artem Anisimov have underperformed this year, and they were shipped out and replaced by Eri Brewer, Alex Edler and Mikko Koivu. All seem to be upgrades and should really make this team again the team to watch out for in the playoffs. GM Fletcher on the otherhand had a disappointing end to his season last year, getting ousted in the first round by the New Jersey Devils in the first round. This year his team has been dominant, and has 57 points in 39 games. The whole Ottawa team has contributed to this, but they are led by their two All-Star selections, Corey Crawford, who is a candidate not only for all of the goalie awards, but for the League MVP as well, and Zdeno Chara, who is just a beast to play against. This year's All-Star game should be a ton of fun. The interesting part is that, not only do this GMs square off against each other in the All-Star game, but they face each other first game back after the break. And who knows, maybe they will find themselves facing off against each other in the Finals. Only time will tell.
