In the right direction

2016-01-12

After 11th straight win, those guys seems to show lots of confidence and the chemistry looks good,  they clearly seems to be in the right direction. But entering the locker room, nobody seems much excited.  Captain Steven Stamkos and leaders like Pacioretty, Subban, Seguin have put their personnal stats aside to focus on the team goal and after each game, they focus is on the next one. The captain has been really brief but had this to say:

¨This is a very long season, almost half done, so another half to work on our systems and make the proper correction. Don't get me wrong, we are happy and we should be, but we know that there is still lots of work to do.¨

On the other side of the room, one of the main reason of this great sequence, Jake Allen. The young men has raise his level of play to another one.

¨I will give all the credit to our defensive squad and our foward that always come back to protect the net. But most importantly, having someone like Craig Anderson that pushing me every day helps a lot. He is a good veteran with lots of experience that help in every department, in and outside the rink. But like Stammer said, nothing is done.¨

Coach Mclellan is going in the same direction has his captain. He has a lot on his mind and it start with their next opponent, division rival, the Ottawa Senators.

¨They are one of the best team in the league, lots of depth in every postion and the chemistry seems of the roof in Ottawa. We don't take any game lightly and I can't lie, playing the Senators will be another good test for us. We have nothing else but respect for them. Defensively, they have one if not the best defensive squad in the league. Offensively, there is a good mix of talent and two way players. This team could go as far as winning the cup.¨
