Is One Schenn Enough?
2025-03-16Its no secret that GM Stephen has been looking for another experienced defenseman. Which lead his search to realizing that one Schenn is never enough. So on Saturday night GM Stephen and GM Adam came to a quick agreement on a deal to bring Luke Schenn to Calgary. Going the other way was Mark Tinordi and a late 2025 5th round pick.
For those keeping track Tinordi was a waiver wire pick up earlier in the season. He did well in his time with the Flames however GM Stephen felt the team just needed more experience on the backend.
Upon hearing the news Luke was excited to hear he was finally going to be able to play with his brother Brayden.
Luke will draw into the line up against the Seattle Kraken where he will partner with Nikita Zadorov. As for Tyler Kleven he will remain as the 7th defenseman but will be given an opportunity to play more guys with the big club baring any other moves to bolster the defense.
Currently the Flames defense looks like:
Graves – Makar
Miller – Sanderson
Zadorov – Schenn
Kleven
