News from King Martin St-Louis

2015-09-25

Everybody knows that Martin St-Louis, not only from the Kings stand point, has unfortunately retired from the NHL but he seems to want to stay in contact with the game.

According to one of his latest appearance on the Team 690 TSN radio, Pierre McGuire talked about the good times he has when he is meeting with St-Louis. They actually both made a 12 to 15 minutes presentation about the state of the game this week in NYC. St-Louis also spoke about his career has a player; what players are thinking about the game broadcast and also, he compared the game from when he started until he hung them up last season.  McGuire also added that St-Louis was really enjoying his family time and following his son playing hockey.  McGuire and St-Louis boys are teammates on a developing program in NYC.  He noted that St-Louis seems to be very proud of being part of the original triplets in Tampa Bay that were consisting of St-Louis-Lecavalier-Richards and to have played with all of them (Current triplet being :Palat-Kucherov-Johnson). The NBC and also Chris Pronger was among the invites.  Would probably be very interesting to part of these league symposium !

McGuire also confirmed that he is not on Twitter.  His exact words were the following : I’m not on Twitter, never had been on Twitter and will never be! Knowing how “vocal” McGuire is, I’m personally kind of surprised by that but hey, I guess he is too busy doing his own networking.  Old school ? Personal choice ?  What do you guys think of McGuire ? Will he, one day, get a GM job in the NHL ?
