Conference Finals Baby!!

Flyers, buoyed by a strong defensive performance and superb net minding from Mikko Koskinen (0.930), recover from two down to defeat the Hurricanes in 6. 

It sets the team up with a tough match up against the Buffalo Sabres who overcame a 2 game deficit in their series (3-1) to win the series in seven. The Sabres are a very strong team led by a dominating first line with superstars Matthews and Connor leading the way. The Flyers will have to find a way to keep them, like Panarin, quiet throughout this season to have any chance of retaining the Lemiuex Conference title.

Sabres powerplay

The Sabres powerplay has really limped through the first two rounds, running at 10.2%. This is really surprising considering the high end offensive talent and regular season perfomance (23.5%).

If this bounces back to anywhere near their regular season performance then the Sabres will be tough to beat.

Mikko Koskinen

Big Mik has been turning heads and surprising many with his lights out displays through the first two rounds of the playoffs (0.933 SV%).

He will need to continue to be at his best to keep Matthews and Conner off the scoresheet over the series. If he does, Flyers will be favourites to take the next step to the Stanley Cup final.
