"Wow, this actually hurts. We have let down so many people this year. Dissapointment is not even the right word right now as we are putting out this letter and officialy are becoming a seller. Did not think we would be here let alone so early." GM Auzins says.

New York Rangers sit dead last in their division with 36 points in 39 games and have lost 8 out of last 10. Rangers have allowed 2nd most goals, have 6th worst powerplay and 7th worst penalty kill in the league. Just not a pretty sight. Doesn't help that they are one of the most penalized teams in the league either. Their aggresive style of play has gotten them in so much trouble that it was time for a change.

RANGERS FIRE RICK BOWNESS 39 games into his first year of a 3 year deal.

"Team had an aggresive approach to games and we were playing an old school style. Frustration and motivation was coming out from our star players who know how to score that they are so limited that they true game is not coming out. We needed to make a change and a change that can stick. We wanted an offensive coach that could start working with the team this year and bring success in the future and I think we found our man pretty quickly." GM Auzins was qouted.

In comes Andrew Brunette.

"Andrew Brunette will serve as head coach for our club beginning today in New York and will be behind the bench against the Flyers in few days. Andrew brings more than 20 years experience in the national hockey league in varying capacities as a player, as a hockey operations executive and as a coach.

We look forward to him leading our club as we continue our season."
