New Penguins GM Fargas excited to renew state rivalry

As incoming EHE Penguins GM Fargas watched the rival Flyers' logo unfold at 25th overall, he breathed a sigh of relief.

"As long as we picked before them, I was happy.  Would we have liked to pick in the top 10? Absolutely. However, we will take what we get and look forward to the rivalry between our franchise player and theirs; between our two cities, and our two passionate fan bases."

Fargas has plenty of work to do in preparation of the pivotal dispersal draft. Picking at 24th is less than ideal for nabbing a franchise star player, so the team's strength must come from its balance.

"We're planning on building a fast, skilled team up front with a responsible, intelligent defensive corps," Fargas quipped.

Fans won't have long to wait, as the draft will commence in less than two weeks' time.
