2016 Free Agency: FP/ELC Signing

Post by Kevin » Sat. Sep. 17, 2016 7:30 pm

This evening we begin the window for signing entry-level players that were activated from your organizational rosters (prospects list), as well re-signing any franchise players.

I have prepared a list for everyone that shows who they have available to sign, which is in the process of including the minimum yearly salary owed to these players.
http://www.elitehockeysim.com/File/2016 ... esign.html

Keep in mind that this does not necessarily mean that you need to sign these players at these exact amounts. You may be able to lower a player's base salary if you pay funds up front through signing bonuses. There are also restrictions on the length of term you may give an entry-level player, which depends on that player's age. Please read the free agency and signing bonus sections of the CBA for full information on signing your players. Please ask any questions in this thread!

You must use the sim client software to sign your entry-level and franchise players, through the free agents button on your team overview. After you have input your offers, you must save your team file and upload it to the league server in order to complete the signings.

*******DO NOT SUBMIT OFFERS FOR OTHER FREE AGENTS during this portion of free agency.*******

This should be very easy to have done, so please have your contracts submitted no later than 11:59pm EDT on Monday. If they are not submitted beforehand, you are going to have to do double the work to make sure they are signed before the end of the RFA period.

Just need to clarify, salary cannot go lower than 575000 even with SB adjustment - correct?

Bingo! And the most that can be taken off the yearly salary and given as a signing bonus instead is 10%.

Corrections have been made to the provided list to reflect the minimum offer that 1st- and 2nd-round picks must be signed to. Please review your offers if you submitted based on the info from this list.

There will also be an addition made to the CBA to state that ELC's may not hold a base salary of more than $925,000 per season.

Just to be sure I'm doing this correctly since I've been away from STHS for a little while; I can put the salaries in for the RFAs I need to sign, then I save the file and upload it to the site. When I save and the pop up comes up that I can upload it via FTP that was setup by the commissioner, if I say yes it uploads automatically, right? I don't remember having this option last time I used STHS so I just wanted to make sure it uploaded properly.

Also, can I sign my RFAs through the client or is it just the players listed in the links?

Yes, you may, though it is preferred that you upload through the site (or do both).

The instructional video has been posted for how to submit offers for your Entry-Level and Franchise players. Please review it, even if you have already sent in your client files, in case you need to make any corrections!

Hello Kevin and everyone!

Where is the best place to find out about our real finances like how much cap space I have for real. Is the balance sheet the right page to look for the exact number fir my pro payroll?

Also, is the money from the press releases has been added already in the current funds under the GM Info tab on the main page?

Thanks!

I know for sure that your finances section is most certainly not the place to go for this unless it is the finance section in the season index.
