2016 EHE Entry Draft

It's time to plan out the single most important day of the sim hockey year, the EHE Entry Draft! My calendar for July is already filling up and I want to give as much time as I can for people to plan around a specific date.

I would like everyone's input regarding the weekend of July 23-24. Either day. The draft would begin at 2pm EDT. Please state which day is better for you, if a day does not work for you, if a completely different day works better for you, etc. Your feedback is required!

This year's draft will last five (5) rounds. At least the first three rounds will be held via a live chat session, just like last year's draft. If we can get more in, that is even better. Last year, we had a fantastic attendance that we could have nearly completed Round 4 had one GM at the top of the round stuck around. Please expect the draft will take 3-4 hours of your day to conduct. One or two people will be assigned to moderate the live chat so that I may continually update the draft board. It worked extremely well last year.

Whatever remains of the draft after the live session will move to the forum. This likely would be anything left of Round 4 and Round 5.

I'm going to a music festival during the July 23-24 weekend, so that's not the best weekend for me. I just have one pick in the first 3 rounds though (assuming I don't acquire any more) so I wouldn't mind sending in a list. Also, if the draft is held earlier in the day during that weekend I could probably make it online to make my pick.

The draft has a hard start time of 2pm EDT regardless of what day it will be held, to allow our European GMs the ability to draft without having to stay/wake up overnight, and some leeway for any west coast GMs that go to church in the morning.

I also prefer to do it early on a Saturday, and Sunday mornings are always bad for me.

Well in that case I likely won't be able to make it Saturday or Sunday, but I can always submit a list for my one pick.
