Trade Deadline! - March 13, 2016
The EHE Trade Deadline for the 2015-16 season will be Sunday, March 13 at 2pm EDT. Any trades posted after this time will be rejected and any players acquired from waivers after the deadline will NOT be eligible for the playoffs.

An important thing to remember about the trade deadline: You will still be able to shuttle players between the NHL and AHL levels for the remainder of the season. However, the AHL roster that you set directly following the trade deadline is your permitted roster for the AHL playoffs.
The only players that will be allowed to be demoted for the AHL playoffs are: those with at least 20 AHL games played before the trade deadline, those who were unable to be sent down at the deadline due to team injury woes, or those who are recalled after the deadline has passed.
Note that if you assign someone to the AHL in order to qualify them, they need to actually play on your farm team. For example, I can't simply send Boone Jenner down on the day after the trade deadline just to qualify him and then call him right back up. He needs to actually play games in the AHL.
These rules are in place to prevent teams from stacking their AHL rosters once they are eliminated from NHL playoff contention.

This is also the deadline for assigning Franchise Player tags to count for this season.

That would be smart and the easiest way to chat with people!Predators wrote:Will we have a league gathering in the chatroom for trade talk on deadline day?
There were 6 deadline deals, plus 3 more on May 7. The way that I set it up is that the deadline is really the night before, but GMs have the next morning to finish any deals they don't want to crank out at like midnight.Dream Walker wrote:Last year it was very quiet.

For those in the U.S., remember that the clocks move an hour forward this same weekend (poor timing). So it's 2pm EDT after the time change.
Also, games will be simmed than usual that night, due to personal plans that afternoon/evening. Probably around midnight EDT, depending on the amount of moves I need to process and how much alcohol I've consumed.

I am moving this weekend, and will have my family up. Also have a curling tournament that day, so I won't be available the whole weekend. Maybe for a minute or two, but that is about it. Wasn't planning on shaking up my roster too much anyways. Have a great trade deadline though guys
Re: Trade Deadline! - March 13, 2016
Very wise Jameson! I wouldn't touch anything either with the roster you have.
Whats up with curling ? Like Tracy McGrady said one day : big pucks with the handles. Good read: http://www.tsn.ca/vince-and-the-guy-fro ... e-1.436520
The time zones doesn't stop at the 49th parallel North.
. Our PM said it last week at 60 minutes: be aware of Canada. We are still flying planes from WW2 and all of our hockey teams wont make the playoffs. Cant beleive that will happen !
