Phil Housley fired

Big news today for the Jets organisation: Phil Housley has been revealed of his fonction as the head coach of the team. Dean Evason has been hired by the organisation to replace Phil Housley as the new head coach of the Jets. Joe Tremblay confirmed the news early this morning. Here what we can see on the team tweeter account:

"The Jets organisation want to thanks Phil for all the works he has done with our team for the past few years. We have a lot of respect for what he has done and we wish him the best for his future. With the really bad start of the team this season, we think that we need a new coach for our organisation. We are pround to announce that we hired Dave Evasion as the new head coach of the organisation. We are sure that Dave is the perfect guy for the job and that the team will play better under his guidance"

Everyone in Winnipeg expected this decision with a such bad record and a good team on paper at the beginning of the season. With a record of 11-18-5 over the first 34 games of the season, the team are the second worst team in the league, just behing Montreal Canadiens. The system of Phil Housley was not good enough for the team and he did not adapt to the new nhl.

Dave Evason arrived in Winnipeg with a totaly new offensive system and a lot of AHL exeperience. He was due to a promotion in the big league. The first thing that he will have to work are the special teams. The PP and SH of the team has not good results and this is one of the reason why the team struggle so much. 

The 1st game of Dean Evason as the team new head coach will be tommorow against the San Jose Sharks. All the Winnipeg Jets fans hope that the team will play a more exited game and that the team will have more wins than loses. Time will tells us, but there is now a new craze around the team.
