There's been so much written about Chicago's four-year journey to this day.

So this writer is going to keep it simple.

VICTORY. Finally.

The Colorado Avalanche threw everything they had at the Blackhawks on Sunday night at Ball Arena, including a 15-0 mark in shots on goal in the third period.

But the Hawks weathered it. When the clock was all zeroes, it was done. Chicago won 3-2, taking the series in 7 games.

The Blackhawks move on to face Dallas in Round 2, with Game 1 taking place Tuesday night at American Airlines Arena.

But that can wait. Right now, it's time to celebrate.

(Stick tap to Kirklan for an amazing series. Hell of a team there bud.)
