Happy Canada Day

So here we are celebrating Canada Day and realized that a shout-out was not sent out to the Calgary Flames and Calgary Wranglers who are in the playoffs due to a busy week. The Flames secured their first Pacific Division title under GM Stephen and the Wranglers made their first playoff appearance in Calgary.

Currently, the Flames have a 2-0 lead over the Seattle Kraken and are heading to Seattle for games 3 and 4, while the Wranglers have a 1-0 lead. Before boarding the plane, GM Steve said, “The first two games were tight with only a 1 goal difference. We aren’t taking the Kraken lightly and we will need to continue to play our brand of hockey in Seattle.

Elias Pettersson, who had a natural hat trick in game 1, commented “Winning the Pacific title was a great experience but the playoffs are a whole new beast. We still need to keep pushing the pace and stay within our game to be successful in the playoffs. We need to play as one unit and everyone needs to do their part for us to be successful.”

With the Canadian Holiday upon us, the Flames return to the ice on July 3. Until then they will relax and enjoy these next 2 days off.
