The playoff season is nearly here! It is important to note that the NHL season is 48 games long, but the AHL season is only 44 games long.
The regular season is expected to conclude on Sunday, May 31st. I'm not entirely certain of what time the sim will be on the 30th because I plan to be out of town that weekend, though I will have internet access to still run the sim.
Playoff rounds will begin on Tuesday, June 2nd with Lemieux Conference & Gretzky Conference games being listed in the league schedule as alternating days. HOWEVER, in order to catch up so that we can all enjoy our summers, all playoff teams will be playing each day until their playoff ends. In other words, playoff "Days 1 & 2" will be simulated on June 2, followed by "Days 3 & 4" on June 3, and so on. There will likely be an actual one-day break in between each round. If everything goes according to plan, our first league champions will be crowned no later than June 30!
There will also be more strict rules on lineup submissions if you qualify for the playoffs. Teams will be given only one warning for the entire duration of the playoffs and any fines incurred will be doubled from the regular season.
For more information about each league's playoff format, please see the CBA.
Also, the draft lottery will be held sometime between the end of the regular season and the end of the first round of the playoffs! More information about that will come soon.
Playoffs begin June 2nd!
Re: Playoffs begin June 2nd!
I completely forgot about telling you guys that I have a ring announcing gig and I will be away for the entire day on Sunday. Sim results will be posted: overnight for our North American GMs / Monday morning for our European GMs.

Well the easiest thing to do is give you a link to one of the matches I did. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OgRga25NECgOtownSens wrote:Ring announcing gig for wrestling? Tell a bit about it man, i'm interested
I also posted a new promo pic on Facebook a couple days ago. I've been announcing for a little over three years now, though my home promotion has been Premier for a little over two years. I wish we ran more shows (or I worked for more promotions) because the between-match promos to talk about concessions, merchandise, etc. are a bit tough when I feel rusty. I enjoy it a lot though because as you guys have obviously noticed with this league, I'm a detail-oriented guy, so the better I do my job, the smoother the shows are.
