Just to recap: We are just a few days away from the highly-anticipated EHE Entry Draft! This year's draft is packed with talent and will last five (5) rounds for this special occasion!

The first 3-4 rounds will be held via a live chat session on Sunday, July 24 at 2pm EDT / 11am PDT / 7pm GMT / 8pm CEST / 2am CST. Please expect that this will take 3-4 hours to conduct. Teams will have 3 minutes to make their picks, although it should not take longer than 2. Each team will have one 5-minute timeout during the live session so that you may have extra time to complete a trade, take care of business in the bathroom, or to deal with a nagging wife/girlfriend.

Teams will only be given ONE warning during the live portion of the draft for selecting an invalid player or one who has already been taken. Any further instance of this or not making your pick promptly will result in your pick being dropped down 15 spots so that you can better prepare yourself.

Once the live draft has concluded, drafting of all remaining choices will resume in our forum. Further instructions will be provided in the appropriate thread. During the forum draft, your pick will be forfeited if you take an invalid player or one who has already been selected.

Remember, the draft pool is not limited to just the 2016 NHL Entry Draft class! For further info on player eligibility, please refer to the CBA.

Every team is expected to either be at the draft or provide a selection list. For anyone who cannot make it to the live draft on this day, please inform the commissioner and forward your lists to another GM that *will* be in attendance so that they can proxy your picks on your behalf. Any lists submitted should have a minimum for four rounds worth of selections. (DO NOT USE THE "DRAFT LIST" FUNCTION ON THE DRAFT PAGE.) GMs who fail to comply to draft procedures will be subject to possible dismissal from EHE.

Get ready and be prepared! There are a lot of smart GMs in our league and you don't want to fall behind the curve because you only made a list of 12 players. If everyone does their part, this will be a LOT of fun!

Is the chat room being used the one off of the "EHE Info" drop down on the home page? If so, it doesn't load for me.

The link was going to be different from that one anyway but that blows that Neatchat is gone! It was fantastic!

We will be using a program called "Discord" to host the draft this year but I don't believe I can get it set up in advance like I did last year.

Looks pretty similar to Discord. I like that it has transcript saving, which Discord does not. You have to sign up for it though and there are some other settings that don't work how I want. Definitely could be of use at another time though. Thanks!

It is def nice with a grou of people....I have the slack phone app downloaded so when anyone sendz me a personal message it shows up on the phone just like a text message. Myou can have many different "channels" they call tehm so you can have a chat room strictly for 2016 picks and a chat room within the same browser for draft banter etc...just something for the future obviously.
