Utah needs a center (and a team name)

Post by Kevin » Sat. Mar. 22, 2025 11:58 pm

Utah HC desperate needs a center, potentially looking for two. We're not looking to blow the doors off the Delta Center or anything here. However, they've been running short on centers ever since Mike abandoned the team during UFA and then they haven't been at full health the entire season. The team is going nowhere obviously, so Utah doesn't need to pay anything more than fair price for anyone. But this is an opportunity if you want to make room on your roster or get rid of a bad contract. Please send in any offers to me through Discord.

Utah has several valuable rentals for trade

Post by Kevin » Yesterday, 2025 1:33 am

Utah HC do have a few good rental pieces up for trade to help playoff teams.

Easily the biggest name on the market is Gabriel Landeskog. He is someone who will be collectively decided on by the Board of Directors in the event that Utah's GM position is not filled before the Trade Deadline. So you may pitch offers to any of the directors. I've already fielded interest from a handful of GMs who noticed Landeskog's addition to the trade board on the website.

Tyler Johnson has some offensive pop that'll help teams trying to budget the salary cap.

William Carrier can do a little bit of everything except pass the puck and also has a dirt cheap NHL contract.

Matt Martin would like to go to a contender needing physicality and decent enough defensive awareness.

Kyle Burroughs is an affordable #6 defenseman (especially if he were to be a #7) with a huge CK rating.

The key with all of these rentals though is that Utah can't only take picks for them. Some players will need to head back as well. They don't need to be players of any real value but just enough to get the team through the rest of this season. Though a player-for-player trade will help.

Do not ask about Ryan Pulock unless you plan on paying a ransom. He is expected to be retained beyond this season.
