2017 Free Agency: FP/ELC Signing
2017 Free Agency: FP/ELC Signing
At long last, we begin the window for signing entry-level players that were activated from your organizational rosters (prospects list), as well re-signing any franchise players.
I have prepared a list for everyone that shows who they have available to sign.
http://www.elitehockeysim.com/File/2017 ... esign.html
You will notice there are no goaltenders listed. They will be added to the site and list late-Saturday night. I will also add information regarding the minimum amount you may offer to a player. For now, you will be able to find how much each player must be paid by looking over the Fair-Market Value table in the CBA, which was updated earlier this evening.
Keep in mind that this does not necessarily mean that you need to sign these players at these exact amounts. You may be able to lower a player's base salary if you pay funds up front through signing bonuses. There are also restrictions on the length of term you may give an entry-level player, which depends on that player's age. Please read the free agency and signing bonus sections of the CBA for full information on signing your players. Please ask any questions in this thread!
You must use the sim client software to sign your entry-level and franchise players, through the free agents button on your team overview. After you have input your offers, you must save your team file and upload it to the league server in order to complete the signings.
For additional help with how to sign your Entry-Level and Franchise players, please refer to last year's instructional video for how to submit offers for your.
*******DO NOT SUBMIT OFFERS FOR OTHER FREE AGENTS during this portion of free agency.*******
Technically, you have until 11:59pm EDT Thursday night to get your ELC contracts submitted, though they should be very easy to do beforehand. It is preferred that you submit them before the RFA period begins on Monday or else you are going to have to do double the work to make the deadline. Any players left unsigned when the deadline strikes will become unrestricted free agents. NO EXCEPTIONS!

Re: 2017 Free Agency: FP/ELC Signing
Is there somewhere where we can confirm if we've inputted stuff correctly?
Re: 2017 Free Agency: FP/ELC Signing
What source do we use to determine a player's age? For example, in the sim Peter Cehlarik is listed as 21, but he actually just turned 22 last month. So can I sign him to a 3 year deal, or only 2?
Re: 2017 Free Agency: FP/ELC Signing
We always go by real life age. He turned 22 before September 15th, so he would only be allowed a 2 year contract.Travis-Canucks wrote: ↑Sat. Always a good policy. They're probably from an evil mirror universe.

I still don't see goalies as of yet??
Re: 2017 Free Agency: FP/ELC Signing
I can tell you that they have been added to the team rosters as I had my goalie ratings done and a prospect goalie added to my roster. No goalie FMVs as of yet though so you can't make offers anyway.
