Perhaps drop the goalie #2. I understand the need for that icing at least a top line for parity 3F, 2Ds and 1G.

Maybe 3 forwards, 2D, 1 Goalie and 1 Prospect in the top 10. At least that allows top prospect to be drafted at any time giving every GM the opportunity to draft a top prospect.

I'm agree with that.

I'm on board with this. It was actually something I originally considered and you guys made a great point. So the top 10 picks will consist of 5 forwards, 3 defencemen, 1 goalie, and 1 unrated player not from the 2014 draft class (any position). We will still require at least one more unrated player to be taken by round 15, with a maximum of five taken overall.

The ratings spreadsheet has been updated. A few more skaters have had ratings modified. Goalies have seen quite a few changes because I changed some things that factored into the overall formula. Most importantly, starting salaries are now included based on the FMV chart posted in the CBA. I couldn't get the salaries to post to player profiles yet, so stick to the spreadsheet!

Can I ask why the best defensemen's passing rating is still only 74, or that they are in the 70s in best overall passers in the league? My issue with this is that what separates Erik Karlsson and Duncan Keith from pretty much all other defensemen (yes there are some exceptions like Subban etc. didn't want to list them all) is their passing. To me this really diminishes their value as their elite skill feels almost average. Since 08-09 only 7 times has a Dman have reached 50+ assists, and Karlsson and Keith did it twice. So I just think there is be a bit more weight to such a huge accomplishment like 50+ assists

Ratings for defensemen are dumbed down so that they maintain realistic stats and don't wind up as 3/4 of the league's top scorers.
I will look into the passing rating for some upper-end D.

I also am planning to revamp the penalty shot and faceoff ratings sometime this week, if there is time. It should be noted that these ratings have little effect on a player's OV rating.
