Remaining Regular Season Sim Schedule

I forgot to mention this when I set the Trade Deadline. It was requested that we go back to single sims for the week leading into the Deadline. I'm glad that I remembered because Thursday will actually be the last double-sim until the Deadline has passed. So the sim schedule is on sort of a hybrid the rest of the way with exactly one month to go until the planned end of the regular season:

Thu. 5/8 - Two simulations
Fri. 5/9 - Revert back to one simulation per day
Sat. 5/17 - Trade Deadline & Franchise Tag Deadline
Sun. 5/18 - Clear Day
Mon. 5/19 - Resume two simulations per day
Sat. 5/24 - One simulation
Sun. 5/25 - One simulation
Mon. 5/26 - Resume two simulations per day
Sat. 5/31 - Revert back to one simulation per day except announced
Sat 6/7 Thu. 6/5 - Final day of the regular season

I think I'm going to do a double-sim on Monday so that we can finish up the season on Friday night instead of Saturday. That'll give playoff teams the whole weekend to prepare for playoffs to start on June 9.

I also forgot that I was going to stretch out the AHL schedule between Days 177-179 so that the AHL schedule will end the same day as the NHL schedule. Oops! I might split up Day 184 for the AHL schedule to make up for that. We'll see. It's already a light load of games this weekend.

Just out of curiosity, why not do double sims the rest of the way and have the season finish Tuesday (if your schedule permits it)? We could have the playoffs start on Friday and make up a few more days. I know most GMs were good with double sims for the remainder of the year besides around the TDL.

Because last year people complained that the last week of the season went too fast. I'm ok to do double-sims the rest of the way if the bunch is but I can't have the season end on Tuesday. I'm rarely available on Tuesdays.

Even in to the playoffs. Eastern and Western games alternating each night so we're playing every night

Though seriously, don't mind how we roll with rest of regular season - not long left now so fine with it being single sims in line with original plan.

I think the reason why some complained about double sims is because it meant we were behind which bummed people out. That said, I think most of us are good with ‘em if it gets us on track. I’m definitely good with them.

I'll do another double sim on Wednesday. That'll mean the regular season ends on Thursday!

I am open to some double simming as well in the playoffs with the exception of elimination games. I think there would need to be time to make line up changes.
