2020 Free Agency: RFA Signing
2020 Free Agency: RFA Signing
You may now begin tendering offers to your restricted free agents and for submitting an offer sheet to an RFA of another team, if you wish.
You will be able to view a complete list of restricted free agents (by team) at the following link:
http://www.elitehockeysim.com/File/2020 ... 1-RFA.html
Please report any errors that you may find!
There are also players currently listed who have been deactivated and cannot be re-signed. These will soon be marked as "Tender?" with the idea that if you have no intention on keeping a player, I won't have to worry about adding them to your non-roster list. Remember, you do not have to re-sign all of your RFAs if you do not want to.
The amount listed is the salary the players earned last season. You will need to review the CBA to determine whether the minimum you need to raise a player's contract is 10% or the Fair Market Value (FMV). Unlike entry-level contracts and UFA signing, the ONLY way that you can lower a player's base salary through signing bonuses is if the FMV would give the player more than a 10% raise over last season's salary. In other words, an RFA's minimum base salary must always be at least 10% above their previous salary, regardless of signing bonus scenarios.
When you are ready to submit your RFA contract offers, you must use the sim client software, through the free agents button on your team overview. After you have input your offers, you must save your team file and upload it to the league server in order to complete your submission. (Make sure you do not accidentally override your ELC/FP offers!!)
Offer sheets must be submitted no later than 11:59pm EDT on Saturday, November 14.
It is preferred that you get your offers made as soon as possible, since this signing period did not begin on Tuesday as scheduled. However, you will have until 11:59pm EDT on Sunday, November 15 to sign your RFAs. Any players left unsigned will become unrestricted free agents, without exception.

Re: 2020 Free Agency: RFA Signing
The list has been updated to accurately reflect last season's salaries. If you see an error, please let me know. Players who are deactivated are marked as "Tender?" If you wish not to tender any of those players, please either message me or email the league. Otherwise, you will retain their rights by default.
Re: 2020 Free Agency: RFA Signing
Ok when I say "no exceptions" for Sunday's deadline, we live in a pandemic world now. OF COURSE, if you have emergency issues that you let me know about, we'll work around that!

Re: 2020 Free Agency: RFA Signing
The following players accepted offer sheets. Their team GMs were notified Saturday evening of the details of the offer sheet, their right to match and option for compensation.
Brendan Guhle - by NYR - MATCHED by ANA
Mark Scheifele - by VGK - MATCHED by COL
Jesse Puljujärvi - by MIN - MATCHED by DET
There were a couple of other offer sheets submitted that were either invalid or not higher than offered by their original club and these are not listed.
