What healthcare profession are you in?
I'm a psychiatrist in Taiwan, we have 49 confirmed cases but is surrounded by countries that are massively hit.
I am a Peace Officer in the Protective Services with our health care system. For the first time today I saw a higher up look like she saw a ghost and was scared

I’d admire what you guys do and you definitely have a much more impressive job than I do, as I just sit behind a large monitor all day doing IT things.

Are you guys slaving away trying to get everyone prepared to work from home like we have? I've either been working or essentially been on call since Wednesday and I'm wiped out. I wanted to make the final schedule changes for the season this weekend so that I can announce the All-Star Game but I was just too exhausted to do anything.

In a similar note, my schedule for simulating the next two nights is still pretty volatile because of our emergency situation at work. The EVP told me that the plan is that my department will begin working from home starting on Wednesday, if the next two days go well. If that does indeed happen, I would like to start getting sim times back to 9pm ET on weeknights. I'll let you guys know if that comes to fruition.

At my job, we offer poker and trivia promotions to bars and restaurants across the US. We have over 400 venues, so you can imagine what we're facing this morning with what looks to be continued shuttering of these places for a while.

We are a small business, so if bars close for an extended period of time, phew...not sure what's going to happen.

For us I wouldn’t be surprised if the hospitals go into lock down. The government every day keeps adding more restrictions. Yesterday they cancelled school so my 14 yr old son won’t go back now until September. God help me..lol. The government also advised to restrict visitors to long term and continued care facilities to protect seniors.

In my field, I have to go to work. I am a mental health worker in a low-barrier rehabilitation facility for those who are very vulnerable (those struggling with drug addictions, compromised immune systems and other illnesses, etc). I work in close proximity with over 100+ clients every day, and it is not a job where I can just quarantine myself at home. I have to go to work in order to provide health care services to this population, a population that is the most vulnerable to contract COVID-19 and likely pass it on to all of us staff members. I'll admit, this makes me quite nervous. Despite the many safety precautions I make, I am still going to be exposed to COVID-19 if it enters my work place, which it likely will.

I completely understand your feelings and concerns. In my role I interact daily with the same clients, add in I am considered a high risk due to my heart surgery. I read today on my health care website its saying approximately 1-100 who get it will die so be safe everyone and follow the precautions

I work for a credit union (as well as you, I believe?) and yeah, as many staff members that we can get out of our headquarters the better. I’m a part of the engineering team so it’s more infrastructure changes for us, but It’s still a bit of extra work. Some of us are volunteering to assist our system admins and system technicians who are taking on most of the extra work.

Good luck to you. I know it can be stressful, time consuming and a thankless job.
